Crumbs & Doilies Cupcake Review

Crumbs and Doilies!... could it be the trendiest cupcake spot as of late?

Crumbs & Doilies was curated by the lovely and social sweet tooth 'cupcake' Jemma

I have been to visit Crumbs & Doilies first store that opened on Carnaby Street which is just off Oxford Circus (London) a couple of times before, though I never thought to review it, on the other hand, the reason why I have been to visit them so many times (spoiler alert!) is because I fully enjoy their cupcakes.

Ever since seeing Jemma via YouTube showing her mass following how she makes her delicious cupcakes especially with the support of Jamie Oliver of who've worked with, I was hugely enticed and convinced that I had to try it!

Personally, from a very young age, I could easily eat through five bars of chocolate in less than five minutes, I could also eat two whole large bars in less than ten, and although I do know that it's very unethical of me to brag about nearly having diabetes it just goes to show how much of a sweet tooth I have for cakes and chocolaty things, therefore it was only time before I tried Crumbs & Doilies

from the pictures above you can see that I purchased 4 cupcakes, 3 large and 1 miniature sized, the flavors are (starting from the left) Peanut Butter & Jelly aka PB & J, Coconut & Raspberry Jam, Blueberry Cheesecake, and Tiramisu, in total it came to £11.20p
as the large cupcakes cost £3.25p and the miniature cupcakes cost £1.45p, also do note that each day the shop produces different cupcakes, therefore, you'll never know what you're getting unless you've ordered from their online store for pick up or delivery, conjunctively it amazes me how well their service cater's to our needs, even their in-store staff are lovely and trendy making the atmosphere a well-balanced chilled out spot for eating cupcakes, cakes, and sipping tea.

its sturdy packaging is made from a brown kraft box, although what was really eye catching to me was its doodling design of little hearts and stars, I think it's safe to say in Japanese that the packaging is super 'kawaii' (cute), and as for their logo that reads 'everybody loves cupcakes' I simply couldn't agree more! just biting into these little delights were too scrumptious to hide the smile it popped! on my face.

The cupcakes were rightly moist and the frosting to cake ratio was just about right, certain flavors, for example, the Peanut Butter & Jelly Cupcake, were'nt as moist as the other cupcakes but it went well! partially because it had textures that needed to be present whereas if that particular cupcake was also moist it could alternate the taste and texture. I love that I could taste the nuttiness/crunch of the topping whilst it's oozing center glided smoothly on my tongue.

To conclude I would just like to say that being someone who've worked in hospitality and other areas of work, I personally can recognize amazing food's and treats when presented, therefore, I  would recommend Crumbs and Doilies to those who are new and experienced eaters of cupcakes as they really do sell the best significant tasting cupcakes that London has to offer!

If you've found this to be a great read then please share this post and leave a comment letting me know what places you think are amazing to dine out at, as I would love to check them out and broaden my horizons! also if you've generally just enjoyed this post it'll be great to know also, and to keep to date on all my future posts, do follow me on my social media handles which are allocated on the top right-hand side of this page.
